“When we moved to S4 from S3, it’s partly true that consumers couldn’t really feel much difference between the two products from the physical perspective, so the market reaction wasn’t as big,” Lee said. “For the S5, we will go back to the basics. Mostly, it’s about the display and the feel of the cover.”

Nach all den Jahren scheint es Samsung zu merken, dass es bei Smartphones auch um die Haptik geht. Schnödes glattes Plastik ist eben nicht jedermans Sache. Hoffentlich gibt es beim S5 nicht nur eine Kunstleder-Rückseite, wie bei den neuen Galaxy PRO-Tablets – auch dieses Material schmeichelt nicht wirklich den Händen. Gerüchten zufolge soll wohl es ein Metallgehäuse werden – warten wir ab.
